Ralph L. Miller, Jr., 84
December 30, 2023
Beloved, summarizes the life of Ralph L. Miller, Jr. Surrounded by the love and prayers of his family,
Ralph slipped into the welcome home embrace of Jesus, his Savior, early Saturday morning, December 30, 2023.
Born November 21, 1939, in Lancaster, PA, he was the oldest son of the late Ralph L. Miller, Sr and Dorothy Fitzgerald Miller. He graduated from McCaskey High School and attended Baltimore City Hospital’s X-ray Tech program. There, he met his belle and best friend of 65 years, Margaret (Markie) Lovelace Miller.
Ralph was a printer at Lancaster Press and Stauffer Printing for over 40 years, retiring in 2001. He loved serving the community as a member of the Manheim Township Lions Club and was their President as well as a Zone Chairman and District Governor for the state. A faithful member of Ross Street United Methodist Church for most of his life, Ralph was Chairman of Finance and enjoyed singing solos and duets with Markie the most.
He cherished his family deeply and they adored him. He is the dear father of Susanne Zourides; Ralph Miller III (Kathy Heisey); Kathleen Weierbach (John); and a daughter-in-law, Sheila Mastropietro (Peter). He is the proud Paw Paw to Andy, Steven (Monica), Lexi (Travis), Julie (Brian), Lindsay (Christian), Ceci (Drew), Luke (Julie), Alex, Blake, Chris, Seth, and Erin. A GREAT grandfather of ten,
Austin, Ava, Ollie, Lucy, June, Audrina, Willow, Kylie, Teddy, and Cullen and an uncle to his countless nieces and nephews; he loved them all. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Austin and a brother John R. Miller.
Ralph’s Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, 17543. Relatives and Friends are invited to a visitation from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm followed by the service at 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those who wish can make a donation to the charities that were special to Ralph, Love a Child (loveachild.com) and Tunnel to Towers Foundation (t2t.org).

Dear Markie,
My deepest heartfelt sympathy to you and your family on your loss of your dear husband. I was planning to attend today but not sure I can with the weather forecast.
I didn’t know if you knew that TOM passed in August. It is very difficult after 65 years of marriage.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

We remember both Ralph and Markie fondly from our days as Pastor and Organist of Ross Street UMC. Their faith and fellowship were inspiring, as was Ralph’s warm smile and his part in the Choir. While we are saddened by his passing, we rejoice that he is with the Lord, and are praying for comfort and peace for Markie and all of the family. Sending our love in Christ, Pastor Nina & Rick
