Ray “Toby” C. Sigman, 77

Ray “Toby” C. Sigman, 77, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2016.
He was the husband of Joan L. Brenner Sigman, with whom he celebrated 32 years of marriage this past July 1st. Born in Marticville, he was the son of the late Ray C. Sr. and Anna M. Erb Sigman.
Toby was a professional truck driver, working for 30 years at Yellow Freight, retiring in 1999. Following retirement, he drove for the Penske Corporation for 4 years.
He was a US Army veteran, serving as a Specialist 4th Class in Korea. After active duty, he served several years in the Army Reserves.
He lived for his family, his daughters and grandchildren; they were everything to him. He was a great neighbor as well, helping them with their yards. He enjoyed word search puzzles, and was known for his rice pudding which he made for anyone and everyone. He also loved his dog, Daisy.
In addition to his wife, Joan, he is survived by his daughters: Teresa K of Lancaster, Karen L. married to Brian Bischoff of Lititz, Melissa A. married to Dave Warner of Landisville, Bonnie married to Timothy Broyles of Strasburg, and Christine married to Robert Lighty of Lancaster; his grandchildren: Cody, Tyler, Zach, Sara, Cheyanne, Eric, Devon, Charlotte, Mariah, Dave, and Chelsee; and by his 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Ethel Clark, Lil Meck, Robert married to Helen Sigman, Mary Pozza, and Connie married to Dave Dearolf.
Friends are invited to attend Toby’s Memorial Service on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 11AM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George St., Millersville, PA. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Toby’s memory to the American Heart Assn., 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.

Deepest sympathy to family. Was shocked to read of Toby’s passing. Sat and talked to him for quite sometime at our dinner in December. Have known him Foy years , school and roller skating ect. We go back many years. Will always remember his distinctive blue eyes

Dear Joan, and your entire family,
Skip and I are so sorry to hear of your loss……we know how much Toby was such a great part of your lives….there will be a void there till you meet again. The angels are rejoicing in heaven at his homecoming! He is waiting for you all.
