Raymond J. Wisniewski, 65
September 05, 2015
Raymond J. Wisniewski, 65, died at his Lititz home on Saturday, September 5, 2015. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Walter F. and Helen M. (Kishel) Wisniewski. Ray was happily married to Sharon A. (Overly) Wisniewski for 35 years.
A graduate of Dixon City High School, he received his bachelor’s degree in business from Lackawanna Junior College. Ray was the quality manager for Dart Container in Leola for 39 years. Ray enjoyed traveling. Through working at Dart he went to England, Australia and many of the States. His favorite vacation was the annual family camping trip to Assateague Island. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church.
A very devoted father, Ray enjoyed family gatherings and the children and grandchildren sporting events. He was very proud of his grandchildren and enjoyed helping them with homework. Ray loved to cook, and to receive his mom’s homemade double decker banana nut cake for his birthday. He was often found watching football and basketball on TV with his family.
In addition to his loving wife Sharon, Ray is survived by their three children: Christine E. Wisniewski and her fiancée Terry L. May, Jr., and their children Kailei, Braden, Kendall and Landon, of Brickerville; Raymond J. Wisniewski, Jr., husband of Kersten E. (Eichman), and their children Raymond, III and Jordan, of Lititz; and Paul J. Wisniewski of Bristol; and his sister Mary Ellen, wife of Joseph Ruda of Bloomsburg and brother Walter F. Wisniewski, Jr., husband of Denise of Dillsburg.
A visitation will take place from 10 to 11 am, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11 am, on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at St. James Catholic Church, 505 Woodcrest Avenue, Lititz, PA 17543. The Rev. James O’Blaney C.Ss.R. will be the Celebrant. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. Please omit flowers. To my sister and family:
May fond memories of your husband, father, and grandfather bring you comfort during this hard time in your life. Look back on all the good memories you were able to have and smile at the fact that you were able to share these before he passed away. Our hearts and prayers go out to you and your family. Through your family, Ray W. will live on. He will surely be missed, but will never be forgotten. We love you all!
