Richard D. “Dick” Hull, 74

Richard D. “Dick” Hull, a lifelong resident of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2023, at the age of 74. He was born in Lancaster, PA, to the late Mae (Warfel) and Harry E. Hull.
Dick was a loving husband, having shared 51 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Helen. Their enduring love and partnership were a testament to the strength of their bond.
Dick was an avid Notre Dame fan, and his passion for the Fighting Irish was unwavering. He found great joy in cheering for his favorite team, especially during college football season.
In addition to his love for sports, Dick enjoyed spending time on the golf course. One of Dick’s favorite pastimes was visiting the mountains. Whether it was the serene beauty of the landscape or the sense of adventure that drew him, the mountains held a special place in his heart. These trips created cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those who shared them with him.
Dick was also a loving dog owner to his loyal companion, Sassy, who brought him comfort and companionship.
Dick and Helen, who did not have children, shared their love with many in the community. Their home was a welcoming place for friends and neighbors, and they touched the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing them. In addition to his wife, his memory lives on with his numerous nieces and nephews as well as countless friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings: John, Mary, Janice, Henry and Ethel.
In honor of Dick’s memory, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the Humane League of Lancaster,2195 Lincoln Highway E., Lancaster, PA 17602, an organization close to his heart.
A Funeral Service will be held at 7PM on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Family and friends will be received from 6PM until the time of service. Interment will be private at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA.
Dick’s legacy of love, passion, and warmth will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the honor of knowing him.

Dick became my best friend at Lincoln Jr High where I met him and through our years at McCaskey High School… Dick and I also served our apprenticeship in the machinist trade together at Vallorbs jewel co. while finishing school… I only regret that We didn’t keep in closer touch over the years after I moved out of state…I for one will miss him… rest in peace my brother, until we meet again…
