Richard Lombard Dunn, 93

Richard Lombard Dunn passed away June 20, 2024 on his 93rd birthday. He was son of the late Ruth Katharine Haass and Edward Lee Dunn, and was raised in Montclair, New Jersey along with his brother Edward and two sisters, Ruth and Anne. A 1949 graduate of Montclair High School, he later attended Pace University in New York where he obtained a Bachelor’s in business administration in 1973.

Richard was an avid reader and a master gardener who, later in life, could often be found working on his vegetable plot in the community garden. In earlier years, he enjoyed running and yoga, and lifelong enjoyments included sailing, swimming and spending time by the water, particularly on Cape Cod in Truro, Massachusetts, a place of deep-rooted family history.

Richard worked in publishing throughout his career, first in New York City, then in Connecticut and finally in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where he would retire. He is survived by his faithful wife of over 60 years, Regina Leon Dunn, and five children—Mark Dunn; Richard Dunn; Brenda Dunn; Susan Rocca; Constance and her husband Aaron Patterson—as well as nine grandchildren.
