Robert D. “Jackhammer” Wise, 88

Robert D. “Jackhammer” Wise, 88, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018.
He was the husband of the late Patricia Simmons Wise who passed away in 2008. Born in Spring City, PA, he was the son of the late George W. and Virginia A. Dixon Wise.
Bob had been a commercial truck driver for 50 years, having his own trucking business in the 1940s and 1950s and also working for many trucking companies over his career. When he retired, he worked at his sons’ Craig and Robert’s business, RaceKrafters Automotive in Lancaster, which he really enjoyed.
He was a member of Milton Grove United Methodist Church.
Bob enjoyed gardening and collected die cast model trucks.
Besides his sons, Craig and his fiancé Melissa of Lancaster and Robert and his wife MaryAnne of York, he is survived by his grandsons Alex and Dana Wise, his great-grandson Chase, and his step-granddaughter Alexa Miville. He is also survived by his half brother, Bill Werner of Asheville, NC. He was preceded in death by his siblings: George Wise and Eleanor Pendino.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bob’s Memorial Service on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11AM at Milton Grove United Methodist Church, 2026 Cloverleaf Rd., Mount Joy, PA.
