Robert M. Kreider, 71
July 23, 2024
Robert M. Kreider, 71, known to many as Bob and some as Bobert, began his trip on the golden streets of Heaven, July 23, 2024. Born in West Willow, he was the son of the late Donald and Anna Kreider. He was the doting husband of Patricia Kreider.
Bob was loved by all who knew him and will be fondly remembered for his detailed storytelling. His countless years as a truck driver known as “Outback” enabled him to meet countless people and share his many adventures. At the tail end of his career, he worked for High Steel and continued to attend their retiree gatherings after retirement.
His world revolved around his wife and their family. He was an extraordinary stepfather and grandfather that was generous to a fault and fondly remembered for his stubbornness. Bob was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed traveling the open road in his Corvette.
He will be sorely missed by his wife Patricia, stepchildren, David TenHarmsel, husband of Morgan of Holland, MI, and Katherine, wife of Brian Lawyer of Parkesburg, and grandchildren, Kenneth & Kristofer TenHarmsel and Amanda & Ally Trauger, who affectionately referred to him as Grandpa or Peepah. Bob was preceded in passing by his parents and his sister, Bertie Kreider.
On Saturday, July 27, 2024, a viewing will be held from 10 am – 12 pm at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584. A Celebration of Bob’s life will begin at 12 PM. Interment to follow at Willow Street Mennonite Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association.

I am so very sorry to hear about Bobs passing. I will miss him very much having grown up with him. We attended same church, started our school life at Pequea Elementary the entire way to graduation from Penn Manor class of 1970. Good-Bye my Friend.

I had the fortunate pleasure of working with “Outback” for 5 yrs at the end of both of our careers. Bob was the driver and I was escort but always felt like it was a team effort. He was a gentleman and as his obit points out he was a family man and a great coworker. The world is going to miss him and his sense of humor. RIP OUTBACK.
