Kin and the entire Long family. I don’t know where to start, but Bob was a great guy! Intelligent, talented, and above all, a man anyone would want to talk to and learn from. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations at the Legion Post 34. Especially, when Bob would discuss recipes, cooking in general and so many other subjects. Bob will be sorely missed by all. My heart aches to not be able to see Bob anymore. I want to remember Bob as if we are sitting there discussing seasonings, flavors, spices, etc…like we did. I don’t know if I can bring myself to the viewing, as I will break down. Perhaps it’s best I say it all here, where I can cry in peace. Bob, I loved every moment you spoke to me. I miss you. Heaven just got a great guy and chef. Earth’s loss, is Heaven’s gain.
Let me add this…regardless of the subject matter, Bob could communicate with anyone, anywhere! Yes, Bob was that intelligent and talented. Bob was one of the few left, I felt, that would give it to you straight. No BS with Bob! Anything you wanted to learn, just talk to Bob. I admired, respected and enjoyed Bob for that. Peace to Bob, and the entire Long family.
