Robert R. Wagaman, 90

Robert R. Wagaman, 90, of Lancaster, died Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, he was the wife of Annabelle (Rowell) Wagaman of Lancaster, to whom he was married 67 years. He was the son of the late Jonas L. and Ellen A. (Eitnier) Wagaman.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and golfer. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Long Memorial UMC, Neffsville.
Robert was a proud WWII veteran, having served his country in the US Army 87th Infantry Division where he received the Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze Stars, and the WWII Victory Medal. He was injured fighting in the Battle of the Bulge.
He was employed as an insurance agent with Prudential Insurance for 36 years.
In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by three sons: Robert J. Wagaman of Mountville; Jeffrey N. Wagaman and his wife Elayne of Lititz, and Stacy S. Wagaman and his wife Sue of Mountville; four grandchildren: Kerri Demmy, April Richter, and Jeffrey and Sarah Wagaman; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joan Wagner of Lititz.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Charles F. Snyder, Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will be in Long Memorial UMC Cemetery, Neffsville.

Dear Annabelle…Jim just told me about Bob, I am so sorry to hear this news. Bob always had a joke and loved to play cards. I think of the Sat. nights of card playing alot. . Bob and I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
