Rodney “Harryo” Mayburn Harrison, 59
July 06, 2021
Rodney M. Harrison, 59 of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2021. He was the son of the late Frank Edward and Annabelle (Gray) Harrison.
Rodney was well known for being a handyman and a jack of all trades. He worked in construction, roofing, HVAC, welding, and more. Aside from being extremely skilled, Harryo had a heart of gold. An amazing father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Harryo made sure to let the people in his life know that they are loved. In earlier years, he would take his children to Turkey Hill for a slushie trip, and later took his grandchildren to the Dollar Tree and told them “Get whatever you want.” Harryo stayed stylish until the end – a true OG. He loved to fish in the Susquehanna and even took trips deep sea fishing. He was known for being a great cook, and also played the guitar. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Harryo is survived by his 7 children: Laver Lamont Hammond, Tyshon Anthony Thomas, Lakima Renee Harrison, Roshon Marie Harrison, Jalisa Nicole Harrison, Rodney Mayburn Harrison, Jr., and Journey McGeachy Harrison; his 4 siblings: Frank Edward Harrison, Sr. (Patricia), Faith Craig (Charles), Stephanie Harrison, and Juanita Ferrer (Miguel), as well as 13 beloved grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Annabelle, and his sister Marcella Rice.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 16 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602, from 9-10 AM. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM, with interment at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery to follow. Flowers and donations will be accepted by the family.
