Roger A. Daughton, 76
March 17, 2024
Roger A. Daughton,76, of the Quarryville community, passed away on March 17, 2024. Born to the late Charles and Zollie Daughton, Roger was a graduate of Solanco High School and dedicated 25 years of his life to Chrysler, where he worked as a skilled welder on the assembly line.
Outside of work, Roger found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a keen eye for vintage items and enjoyed attending auctions to add to his collection of models, old jewelry, and other treasures. Roger cherished spending time with his loved ones. Whether it was enjoying outings together or sharing stories around the dinner table.
Roger’s interests extended beyond collecting; he also had a passion for working on cars and farm equipment. Growing up on a farm, he developed a deep understanding of machinery and enjoyed putting his skills to use.
Roger is survived by his children, Melissa Lewis (wife of Richard) and Roger A. Daughton Jr. (husband of Lisa), his grandchildren Tyler and Owen, and his siblings Sharon Ressler, Jim Daughton, and David Daughton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Zollie Daughton, and his beloved wife, Carol Daughton.
In honoring Roger’s memory, his family requests that donations be made to a charity of choice. A private service will be held to celebrate Roger’s life, where he will be remembered fondly. Though he may be gone, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
