Ronald S. Skotarczak, 75
June 30, 2022
Ronald Stanley Skotarczak, 75 of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 30, 2022. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Stanley and Stella Skotarczak. He leaves behind his beloved wife of almost 54 years, Patricia Skotarczak.
Big Ron, or ‘BR’, as he was affectionately called, started every morning by completing the newspaper crossword puzzles. His passion was horse racing and spent many hours handicapping and betting on races. He also enjoyed playing blackjack and slots at the casino and watching college sports. He loved listening to his favorite entertainers which included The Beach Boys, The Temptations and Shania Twain.
Growing up, he was an avid athlete and instilled this love of sports into all three of his children. He taught them the importance of responsibility and accountability, preparing them for their respective journeys into adulthood.
Patricia always knew she was the light of his life. Ron was always supportive, protective, caring and proud of her as well as his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Patricia, Ronald is survived by 3 children: Ronald Skotarczak II (Erin), Matthew Skotarczak (Jennifer), and Stephanie Benis (Paul); 7 grandchildren: Dylan, Nicholas, Drew, Jack, Alexandra, Luke, and Ryan; and his sister Lorraine Davis (Jack).
A celebration of Ronald’s life will be held on Monday, July 25 beginning at 1 PM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Ron’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

My condolences to the family. I really didn’t expect for Ron’s name to pop up here….. I’ve been trying to track down friends from our childhood. I went through grammar school, and high school with him. Ron excelled in everything he was involved in, including his marriage and fatherhood. R. I. P. Ron. You have a beautiful family that will follow in everything that you taught them. See you sometime in the future 💕

My condolences to your family. I only met Mr.Ron once whenI was 17. Ron was my father’s cousin.I had a seasonal job at Sears wharehouse in Philadelphia. I thought one reason that I may have been hired because my name was probably recognized.( truth be known, I wasn’t a great worker there , at 6th floor shoe returns) I was greatfull for the job though, I was just a kid,and that was my first full time job.
