Ronald W. Seamans, 77
October 26, 2023
Ronald W. Seamans, 77, a devoted husband, loving father, and pillar of faith, peacefully departed this earthly realm to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 26, 2023. He was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, to the late Thomas R. and Marie (Mazur-Horn) Seamans, and his life was a testament to unwavering love, faith, and community spirit.
Ron celebrated a remarkable 50 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Lynne (Colacino) Seamans, on October 19. Their enduring partnership was a beacon of commitment and devotion to all who knew them.
A graduate of Rutgers University in 1968, Ron earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, a testament to his intellectual curiosity and commitment to understanding the world around him. In recent years, Ron embraced the role of a crossing guard and found great pride in his work as a bowling alley attendant. His cheerful demeanor and dedication left an indelible mark on the hearts of those he encountered.
Ron was a man of profound faith and served as a deacon at Burning Hearts Community Church in Lancaster. He found joy in working with youth of all ages, sharing his wisdom, and helping to nurture their spiritual growth. Beyond his dedication to faith and family, Ron was a passionate Boston Red Sox fan, sharing in the excitement and heartaches of each season. His love for 50’s music provided a timeless soundtrack to his life, and he was unapologetically patriotic, unwavering in his political outlook.
Ron is survived by his cherished wife, Lynne, and his daughter, Lorelei Culbert, wife of Jim, residing in Selkirk, Scotland. His legacy extends to his beloved grandson, Alexander Scurfield, in Inverness, Scotland, as well as his sister, Martha Viater, of Carteret, New Jersey, and a host of nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
He is preceded in death by his siblings: Catherine Knapp, Margie Loveday, Thomasina “Timmy” Klunder, Winnie Martino, Thomas Seamans, Jr., and Andrew Seamans.
A memorial service to celebrate Ron’s life will be announced at a later date, providing an opportunity for family and friends to honor his memory and share their cherished stories. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Burning Hearts Community Church at 2460 New Holland Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601, reflecting Ron’s dedication to his faith community.
Ron will be dearly missed but forever remembered for his boundless love, unwavering faith, and the positive impact he made on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. May he find eternal peace in the embrace of his Lord and Savior.

Wising prayers and strength to my Aunt Lynne and cousin Lorelei. My uncle Ron was the fun uncle when I was a kid. He loved masks and trying to scare us. I loved it and him for all of those memories. He loved the oldies and music in general. He is now at peace and in a better place with the Lord 💕🙏🙏🙏💕

To Lynne and Lorelei,
We mourn your loss but we rejoice in Ron’s gain! I remember Ron’s ever jovial spirit and wonderful sense of humor. I also appreciated his knowledge of God’s Word and his love and service to Jesus. I praise God for the blessed assurance that Ron is in heaven because of the sacrifice of Christ on the cross.
We love you and pray for God’s comfort to surround you both.
Love, Ruth Winne

Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him.

My Unc, as I called him, was special to me. I enjoyed visiting with him and Aunt Lynne. Listening to all the stories he had to share. Sitting and having a meal together.
I share the love of the 50s music and we truly understood each others musical knowledge. I am broken hearted that Unc is gone from this realm but know I will see him again when it is my time. I will miss making him his favorite shortbread crust cheesecake.
Aunt Lynne and Lorelei, to your friends and family, know my prayers and love are forever with you. Praise God for His mercies He has bestowed upon Unc. I consider myself blessed to have spent time by his bedside before he passed and got to say goodbye. I will forever miss him.
