Rosalind A. Martin, 69
August 12, 2020
Rosalind A. Martin, 69, of Ephrata, went into the arms of the Lord on August 12, 2020. Born in Easton, PA she was the daughter of the late Robert F. and Gwendolyn E. (Mertz) Ackerman. She recently celebrated her 28th wedding anniversary with David G. Martin.
Rosalind was known for her sense of humor and wit. She loved her family and friends and was always willing to help anyone. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach, collecting teddy bears, and recently she enjoyed relaxing with a good book. Most important to her, was her faith. She was very dedicated to her church and participated in a few church choirs.
She will be sorely missed by her husband David, children: Robin Rochow of Ephrata, and Robert Wolfinger husband of Erin of Missouri City, TX, grandchildren: Benjamin, Hunter and Kelly, and sister, Janice Hanus wife of Rev. Theodore of FL. She was preceded in passing by her parents and sister, Kay L. Sears.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 10AM at Conestoga Memorial Park, 95 2nd Lock Rd. Lancaster, PA 17603 with Pastor Steve Verkouw officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rosalind’s name may be made to Hospice & Community Care

My wife, Daniele and I, lived next to Dave and Rosalind in Ephrata, PA for about 2 years prior to moving to the southeastern U.S. in late 2018. Rosalind was a kind caregiver and was sure to take care of us when we needed it. We will always be thankful for the time I was traveling out-of-state for work, and Rosalind took care of my wife when she cut her hand on a knife. We spent a few nights over their house and even celebrated a birthday with them. We enjoyed their company so much in fact, my wife even made it a point to stop by and have dinner when she traveled back up to Lancaster, PA for work in early 2020. Our communication with Dave and Rosalind had slowed down over the past year, but we always reminisce about how enjoyable it was to live next to someone so loving and caring. We only found out about her passing when our annual Christmas card bounced back this year. Our prayers are with the family and sympathy to Dave for his loss.

My prayers and sympathies to David and the family on your loss. Ros and I go way back to nursing school. I capped her and nursed her when she was in the hospital @ LGH many years ago. We then got together again at church. She was a wonderful person and I will miss her dearly. RIP Ros.
