Rose Marie Lutz, 85, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 3, 2025. Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late Loretta F. (Meyers) and Charles P. Myers. She was the beloved wife of the late Chester A. Lutz, Sr.
A woman of strong will and deep love, Rose was known for her unwavering spirit and warm heart. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—traveling with her church, singing in the choir, and camping under the stars. Ocean City, MD, held a special place in her heart, where she created cherished memories with family and friends. She was also a talented cook, best known for her comforting and delicious pot pie, a dish that brought loved ones together around her table.
A devoted member of West End Mennonite Church, Rose’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. Her kindness, determination, and enduring love for her family left an unforgettable mark on those who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Marie Lobania, wife of Erik of Lancaster; Chester Lutz, Jr., husband of Antonia of Rothsville; and Patricia Tucker, fiancée of Richard Colaianni of Delta. She was a proud grandmother to Craig R. Bouder husband of Tammy, Marissa Lutz, Alexandra Lutz, Madeline Lutz, Zachary Lutz, Marshall Tucker, Justin Tucker, and Jessica Colaianni, and a loving great-grandmother to Craig, Jr., Marissa, Jayden, Hailey, and Nathan. Rose is also survived by her brother, Carl Myers.
Her life will be honored in a Celebration of Life service at a later date, where family and friends will gather to remember the remarkable woman she was.
Rose’s legacy of love, resilience, and devotion will continue to shine in the hearts of those she touched.

She was a great mother and grandmother. I remember meeting her when I was in high school. She welcomed me with open arms. I remember watching movies and unsolved mysteries with her. She made sure I was fed after school and invited me to church. Rose you will be truly missed. To family and friends I send my condolences to you. Love Steph.
