Roza Csoboth, 85

Roza Csoboth, 85, of Lancaster, PA, went home to be with the Lord on October 13, 2023. Roza was born in 1938, in Okany, Hungary, to Albert and Rosalia Fabian. She fled Hungary in 1956 at the age of 17, eventually arriving in the U.S.A. as a refugee. She met and married Frank Csoboth, to whom she was married until his death in 1992. Roza was a long-time resident of Delaware County, PA, residing in Brookhaven, PA. She relocated to Lancaster, PA in 2010.
Over her career, she worked as a licensed beautician, maintaining her own beauty salon in their Aston, PA home. She and Frank served as missionaries with Underground Evangelism, and lived in West Germany, from 1972 to 1978. Their mission was to spread the gospel to Hungarians behind the Iron Curtain countries through shortwave radio broadcasts. After they returned to the States, Roza worked as a licensed realtor with Century 21, and later as a bank teller at M&T Bank for 10 years and retired in 2003.
Roza was a member of Faith Bible Fellowship Church in Lancaster, PA and was a long-time member of Grace Bible Fellowship church in Wallingford, PA prior to moving to the Lancaster area. During all those years, Roza loved to use her gifts of hairstyling, sewing, and baking, to serve others. She devoted much time to studying the Bible and reaching her community with the gospel. Her particular love was studying Bible prophecy, and she translated and printed Dispensational Truth, a commentary on Prophecy and End Times from English to Hungarian.
Roza and her late husband, Frank, are survived by one daughter, Mary Tress (married to Craig) of Lancaster, and three grandchildren – Rachel Tress of Raleigh, NC, Craig J (CJ) Tress and Nathan Tress of Mountville. PA. She is also survived by one sibling – Magda Fekete of Birmingham, U.K. She was preceded in death by 3 other siblings – Bertalan, Marika & Karcsi.
A viewing and Memorial Service will take place at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA on Thursday, October 19th: Visitation at 5:30p; Memorial Service at 6:30p. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 20th at 11:00a, at Edgewood Memorial Park, 325 Baltimore Pike, Glen Mills, PA. Luncheon to follow service. Please contact family if plan to come to luncheon.
