Ruth D. Metcalfe, 92

Ruth D. Metcalfe, 92 of 675 Willow Valley Square, Lancaster, died Wednesday, January 3, 2006 at the Glen.

Born in Port Smouth, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Frank Estevan and Caroline McGarvey Dresser. Ruth was the wife of William K. Metcalfe and they were married for 69 years.

A homemaker, she was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Lancaster and the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Ridgefield Park, NJ. She was a member of the King’s daughters in Lancaster and Gideon Auxiliary.

Mrs. Metcale enjoyed many activities at Willow Valley. She traveled a lot and enjoyed spending time at her summer home in Sag Harbor, Long Island, New York with family and friends.

Surviving besides her husband is a daughter, Carolyn Mollenkopf of Baltimore MD; and a son, Robert Metcalfe of New Fairfield CT; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister Marie Miller.

A memorial service will be held at Johnson Auditorium at Willow Valley North on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 11:00AM. The family will receive friends from 10:20-11:00AM. Please omit flowers.
