Ruth E. Herbein, 93

Ruth E. Herbein, 93, of Moravian Manor, Lititz, formerly of 769 Patriot Dr., Lancaster, entered into rest surrounded by her family on Sunday, June 11, 2006.

Born in Conestoga, Ruth was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Mary Catherine Helm Fralich.  She was the wife of the late Raymond S. Herbein.

Ruth worked in retail at the children’s clothing store, Lobel’s formerly of Reading. Previously, she worked in the assembly dept. at the former Hamilton Watch Co.

She was strongly devoted and supportive of her immediate and extended family.  She encouraged her family in a spiritual nature.  In her earlier years, Ruth was an active member and strong supporter of St. Andrews UCC of Reading. Currently, she was a member of West Willow Street United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and cooking for her family.

Ruth is survived by a daughter, Sherelyn F. Gable of Lititz; sons, Roger F. husband of Nancy A. Herbein of Arlington, TX; Randall F. husband of Laurie E. Herbein of New Hampshire, CT; 7 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.  She was the last of her immediate family.

The funeral service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 441 N. George St., Millersville, PA on Friday at 11AM.  Interment in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.  Friends may attend the viewing at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 7-9PM.  A viewing will also be held at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10AM until the time of service.
