Ruth M. Peek, 99, of Lancaster, PA died at Brethren Village on Sunday, February 2, 2025. The daughter of the late Irvin and Barbara (Verbonitz) Norris, she was born in Blair County, PA.

A graduate of Williamsburg High School, Williamsburg, PA; she was recruited by Armstrong World Industries in 1944 to be a member of the secretarial pool and moved to Lancaster. She retired in 1988 after 44 years in various secretarial positions and eventually Supervisor of Secretarial Services.

While employed at Armstrong, Ruth met the love of her life and soul mate; Harold M. Peek Jr. and they married on July 29, 1950. Ruth and Harold enjoyed 67 years of marriage until his death in 2017. Their life together was enriched by their shared love of golf and of their many cats over the years.

Though the last of her immediate family, Ruth is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
