Salvatore Borsellino, 75
Salvatore (Sam) Borsellino, 75, of 924 Fremont Street, Lancaster, died Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at his home.
Born in Cattalica Eraclea, Sicily, he was the son of the late Franceso and Vincenza Sajeva Borsellino. Sam was married to Victoria DiRenzo Borsellino for 50 years on June 30, 2006.
Mr. Borsellino was the co-owner of Alfred and Sam’s Italian Bakery which opened in 1959. Sam retired in 2001 at the age of 70, but remained the owner. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Italian American Club, and a 3rd degree Knights of Columbus He enjoyed bowling.
Surviving besides his wife, are two daughters: Vincenza wife of Timothy Mineo of Millersville, Hilda wife of Charles Neidert Jr. of Lancaster, two grandchildren: Monique and Matthew, one great grandchild, Garrett, two step grandchildren: Jessica and Meghann, a sister Maria Gangi of Sicily. He was preceded in death by a brother, Antonino , and beloved by many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St Joseph Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph Street, Lancaster, PA on Monday at 11:00AM. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA. A viewing will be held at the Church on Monday from 9:00-11:00 AM. Please omit flowers.
