Samuel Barry Deisley, 86

June 22, 2024

Samuel Barry Deisley died peacefully in his sleep on June 22, 2024 to be re-united with his loving wife Kay. Barry is survived by his children, Mary Kay (wife of William C. Braas, III), Samuel Robert and brothers Terry L. (wife, Faith Deisley) and Jere R. Deisley. Also, and a special nephew Fred Deisley. Our Dad was a loving husband, father, son and friend to many. He never met a stranger.

As a young man he proudly served in the Air Force Reserves. He spent his entire 40 plus year career working for UGI in Lancaster. Family, friends and food always put a smile on our Dad’s face.

A special thanks to Providence Place Senior Living and Hospice Community Care. One very special friend of our family, Patrick M. Egan, gave so much joy and happiness to our Dad for so many years. We can’t thank him enough.

In Lieu of flowers, donations are welcome at Hospice & Community Care or a charity of your choice (preferably an animal charity).

A private grave side service will be held at a later date.

Condolences to the Family

We were neighbors of Barry and Kay for many years and appreciated how they cared for the neighbors around them.  We are grateful for their friendship for so many years.  Roy and Connie Bender

Sam was a great person, always enjoyed his and Kay’s company. Sam lived close to my mother-in- law and on occasion i would drop off some Italian food because  she made to much. Many great memories but sad he passed. My condolences to his family

My sympathies to the Deisley families for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Sam when I joined the UGI family in 1968. He was always a person you wanted to be around and share time with. He greeted everyone every day with “Nice to see you here today”. Kay and Sam always had an open door for anyone who stopped by for coffee. He dearly missed Kay when she passed and I’m happy they are together again. RIP Sam. You served your country and UGI well. Your legacy will live on in my memories.

We were so sorry to hear about Barry’s passing. He was always so fun to be around, and always kept us laughing. Remembering all the fun we had on First Street and down at the bay. Our condolences to Mary Kay, Billy, Sammy, and the rest of the family. Love, Paul and Jan Lipinsky

Rest in eternal peace with Kay, Barry!

Barry has always held a special space in my heart.  We met as neighbors in June of 1972 as I was just a teenager. He exuded his friendly, fatherly personality that let you know he was a strong and caring individual. As time passed, he became a mentor to me.  As his son Sam and I became friends, Barry and Kay invited me on many family outings from trips to the shore to dirt bike rides in the woods.  Life moves on with your own families and friends but I will never forget the friend I called Barry.  My wife Mary and I extend our condolences to Sammy, Mary Kay and Billy. Your Dad will be missed.   Love, Bob and Mary Beck

I met Barry in his late stage of life. Through Pat. He was such a sweet, sweet man. Rick and I both agreed that we met Barry way too late. He would have been a joy over the years to know. God bless the family and friends who had the honor of knowing such a gentle man.
