We here at the Dillsburg American Legion extend our deepest condolences for the loss of Sam. He was such a sweet man! He came to work in the mornings, always with a smile on his face and definitely a lot of jokes during the day. He will be missed greatly by all of us! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Fly high Sam…until we meet again!

I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the entire Scicchitano family. I first met Sam when he owned Dunkin Donuts and we quickly became friends. When he opened the restaurant/bar that was my go to place. I would regularly be there hanging out with Sam. Always fun and great conversation followed. I lost contact with Sam after he got out of that business but when I’d run into him time and again he always greeted me with a big smile, handshake and a hug. He will truly be missed. Thank you Sam for you friendship.

Dear Tony & Deb,
You have my sympathy with the passing of your Father/Father in Law. Sam hired me for my very first job in life at Dunkin Donuts. I enjoyed working with you Tony as one of your “finisher’s”. Sam taught me alot as a young man about customer service that carried on throughout my life. One little thing makes me think of him frequently still many, many years later. When I am out at a restaurant it isn’t unusual for someone to be clearing tables and they spray ammonia. I remember Sam reading the riot act to someone about that saying it takes the customers appetite away and a restaurant certainly doesn’t want that. I believe he had a soft spot for me because I played basketball and he liked to tell me how good an athlete he was.
All this to say Sam impacted my life in a positive way that I still remember 45 years later.
May you hold happy memories of your Dad in your mind and heart today and always!
