Sandra E. Donley, 81

Sandra E. Donley, 81, of Lancaster, passed away on December 27, 2023. Born on January 12, 1942, in
Salunga, PA, she was the beloved daughter of Christian and Stella Keller.
Sandra dedicated many years of her life to public service, serving as the office manager at the Lancaster County Justice Department. Her commitment and diligence left an indelible mark on her colleagues and
the community she served until her retirement in the early 2000’s. Earlier in her career, she played an
important role at Sears until her retirement in the early 1990’s.
Outside of her professional life, Sandra found joy in books and challenging puzzles. She showed devotion to her family, particularly her grandchildren, whom she cherished dearly. Sandra was a source of strength and support, the backbone of her family, known for her kindness, generosity, and boundless love.
Sandra was a proud member of the women’s auxiliary in the American Legion. She also found solace and
community in her faith as a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church.
Sandra is survived by her loving daughter, Elaine Casey (widow of Michael Casey Sr), granddaughter Amber Casey (wife of Nathan Kirchner), and sister Donna Sheaffer (wife of James Sheaffer). She was preceded in death by her parents, Christian and Stella Keller, a newborn son John Roehm, her husband Gerald Donley, and her grandson Timothy Casey.
She will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, Gerald on January 4, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Salunga Brethren Church Cemetery, 2 Holland St, Salunga, PA 17538. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Kidney Foundation or Walk for Des in Sandra’s honor. May Sandra’s memory live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

To Sandy’s Family,
It is with deep sadness that I give you my condolences on the passing of Sandy. Sandy and I met at the Manheim Pike dialysis center last year and during that time after every treatment I walked over to her chair to say Goodnight and see you next time.
