Shirley A. Brenner, 87
February 16, 2025
Shirley A. Brenner, 87, of Lititz, formerly of Willow Street, passed away peacefully into the arms of her loving Savior on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at United Zion Retirement Community. She was the daughter of the late Harry Smith and Mildred (Martin) Smith Graham. She was the loving wife to the late Donald Brenner with whom she shared over 40 years of marriage.
Shirley dedicated many years of her life to hard work and service, holding positions at Ark Products and Federal Mogul before concluding her career at Tower Insurance, where she retired in 2020.
A woman of deep faith, Shirley professed her love for Christ and was a devoted member of Grace Community Church of Willow Street. She found joy in welcoming others as a greeter and usher, always sharing her warmth and kindness.
Shirley’s gentle nature and generous spirit brought happiness to many. She was deeply loved, especially by her family, and her presence will be dearly missed.
She found great joy in cooking and baking, particularly her beloved sand tarts. She had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying crabbing and fishing, and loved solving jigsaw and crossword puzzles. A devoted fan of Wheel of Fortune, she rarely missed an episode. Shirley also cherished her visits to Rehoboth Beach and Lewes, DE, and treasured every moment spent with her family.
She is survived by her children: Victoria Blevins of Florida, Sandra Harnish, wife of Jeff, of Willow Street, and Rick Brenner, husband of Cheryl, of Willow Street. She was a proud grandmother to Adam Blevins, husband of Abby, and Ashley Dimonte, fiancé of Matt Shober, her step grandchildren: Shawn Dombach and Corey Thorius. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Savannah, Carter, Molly, Alexa, and David “DJ,” with another great-grandson on the way. She is also survived by her brother, Harry Smith, Jr., husband of Deb. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Gloria Keller and Richard Smith.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Grace Community Church of Willow Street, 212 Peach Bottom Road, Willow Street, PA 17584. Family and friends will be received from 10AM until the time of service. Interment will follow the service and luncheon at 3 PM at the Willow Street Mennonite Cemetery.
