Shirley Ann Adair, 71
March 15, 1953 - September 05, 2024
Shirley Ann Adair, age 71, of Lancaster, passed away September 5, 2024, at Lancaster General Hospital. She was born on March 15, 1953, to Kenneth and Fern (Walters) Carr, in Lancaster. She shared over 50 years of memories, love and marriage with her husband Richard Adair, Sr. until his passing earlier this year.
Many will remember Shirley from her dedicated years as an avid bowler; a hobby she shared with her son. She regularly bowled with the Retail Ladies, and Semi Classic bowling leagues in Lancaster. She frequently found peace visiting the ocean. Most importantly, she loved spending time with and spoiling her granddaughters.
She will be sorely missed by her son, Richard Adair, Jr., husband of Madeleine of Red Lion, the girls who affectionately called her “Nana”, Aubrey and Kaitlin, a sister, Deb Bleacher, and her beloved dog, Mocha. She was preceded in passing by her parents, her husband Richard, their son, Kenneth Adair, and her cherished dog, Bayly, who also passed earlier this year.
The family invites guests to a viewing on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, from 1-3 PM at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584, with a funeral service honoring Shirley to begin at 3 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
