Stephen “Dude” Foote, Sr., 61

Stephen Michael Foote, Sr., 61, of Anderson, SC, formerly of Lancaster, PA, passed away on July 7, 2015. Born in Binghamton, NY, he was the son of the late Richard Foote and Florence (Rodgers) Garner.
Stephen retired from US Boiler. He was spiritual in his faith. Stephen was a member of AA for 28 years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and loved his coffee.
Surviving are 3 children: Shelly DeVerter, wife of Anthony, Stephen Michael Foote, Jr., husband of Christy, and Samantha Foote; 6 grandchildren; 5 sisters and 1 brother and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Foote.
A Viewing will take place from 2-4 PM on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

I was going to call him just found out I was state prison for 5,years I got out sept 2015 I be been clean for 3 1/2 years now. Cowboy was my sponsor for a few yrs and I really loved him he was a great sponsor and a good or better friend. God I know he’s in heaven he kicked my chair at the as club 1st MTG I went to in lancaster.he said you look like you need a sponsor I said yeah I do can you help me he said maybe if you’re willing to surrender to the program and pray to God.i said he’ll yeah ihad4months clean I stayed clean for 4years and I fell but he came to the VA and helped me immensely God I’m numb right now. I’ll see you again on the other side cowboy I love and miss you from your friend the water head Harry MCC urry my condolences too your wife and children miss you cowboy!!!!!!!########

Our deepest condolences to all of Steve’s family, friends, and for every recovering heart he touched. We are very sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Steve’s physical presence here on Earth will be missed, but his spiritual presence will continue to be felt, rejoiced, and passed on. We love you Steve! Lots and lots and lots and whole bunches!
