Stew was a remarkable leader, friend, mentor, and confident. Having Stew go to bat for you made the endeavor a sure thing. Racing up the avenues of NYC to a hospital’s executive board meeting was almost as thrilling as seeing him handle objections that would confound a lesser man (me). Whether amoung Wall Street titans or at a country hospital his demeanor was consistant, his smile infectious, and his wisdom compelling. He was truly faithful to the core objectives of ServiceMaster: Honor God in All We Do, Develop People, Pursue Excellence, and Grow Profitably. What a wonderful experiment and adventure, truly it was a spiritual journey. He unashamedly modeled his faith and shared the hope and confidence that he had in Jesus. All this while being a very good businessman and steward of the gifts the Lord gave him.
Bonnie and I are thankful for Stew’s role in our lives.
We pray for Gloria and the rest of the family as they morn their loss while celebrating a life of real significance.
Blessings,
Chris Gleeson

Stew was a very effective leader in ServiceMaster. Many of us who sold services to hospitals was influenced in technique by Stew’s influence. . His audio presentation of handling objections helped me a great deal during my days selling. More important was his ability to lead others and walking the talk of our 4 objectives. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and the many teammates Stew led over the years. God Bless, John and Patty Pace
