Suzanne M. “Sue” Diller, 72

Suzanne M. “Sue” Diller, 72, of Mount Joy, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 20, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family. Sue was born in Lancaster to the late Anthony E. and Susan Sandoski Discavage. Sue was the loving wife of Robert A. “Bob” Diller sharing 27 years of marriage this past May. She proudly graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School in 1970, later obtaining a bachelor’s degree from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine. Sue’s career began at Lancaster General as a cardiac catheterization lab tech, later moving to Community Hospital as department supervisor, before retiring from Siemens Medical as an applications specialist. Sue had a special gift for caring for others and organization, as such she was an active member of Mother Mary of the Church and was involved in the Celebration for Life organization which held a special place in her heart. She cared deeply for her friends and family, was a servant to her communities, and in her spare time enjoyed gardening, caring for houseplants, playing pickleball, and spending time outdoors with her husband. Sue also traveled with her husband and family through the years to see as much of the world as she could, and her two favorite travel destinations were Hawaii and Alaska.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Bob, are four children, Chad R. Cowles, Travis R. husband of Noel Cowles, Megan B. Diller, Britta E. wife of Ronnie Wagner, six grandchildren, Mackenzie, Riley, Madison, Ian, Beatrix, and Betty, three siblings, Donald husband of Anita Discavage, Gregory husband of Diane Discavage, and Thomas husband of Theresa Discavage, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are two brothers, David and Anthony Jr. Discavage.

Friends and family are invited to attend Sue’s Memorial service at Mary Mother of the Church, 625 Union School Road, Mount Joy, PA 17552 on Saturday, January 4, 2025, friends may visit with the family from 9:30 AM until the service begins at 11:00 AM with Reverend Edward J. Keating as celebrant. Interment will be a private ceremony at a later date. In lieu of flowers please send contributions in Sue’s memory to Celebration for Life, www.c4life.org, or to Hospice & Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.

Bob & familyHeartfelt sympathy to you all in your loss. Sue & I graduated together from LCHS. We had many a good time watching our boys play basketball. I was so happy to have our paths cross again when I moved here to MMOC and would see her. She was always upbeat and a real sweet person. May your memories be eternal.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.  I met Sue when we traveled on a journey to Italy with MMOC.  We were roommates and have became friends.  I know she was having a lot of health issues, but her positive attitude always impressed me.  I will always think of her.  May she rest in peace.
