Jeff, Brian, Greg and Karen. I was sad to read of your mother’s passing. Our families had so many connections at various levels, and I have many fond memories of shared occasions. She was a remarkable woman, and loved by so many. She will be missed. Sincere condolences. “Ned” Kreider

Our deepest sympathies to Jeff, Brian, Karen, Greg, and their extended families. Sylvia was one of my dearest friends. We go back a long way– to the Brecht school days. I loved every moment we spent together–our regular “Koffee Klatches” where we pondered and solved ??? any injustices, local, national, and worldwide. And, we had our annual excursions to any and all craft shows– snowmen being the target of her searches. I will always remember the love she had for her family and her community. Her contagious smile, her kindness and thoughtfulness will be missed.

Our deepest sympathies to Sylvia’s entire family. Sylvia was our only cousin on our father’s side of the family. Her mother and our father were sister and brother. We have many fond memories of her at family gatherings, holidays, and at the shore when we were growing up. One day when she was a senior in high school, she took me (Carol Ann), a first grader, to school with her. That was a special day!
Although we were not in close contact after she and Ed married, we always remembered each other at Christmas and she sent many old family pictures to us over the years.
Again, we are so sorry for your loss.
Carol Ann Reese Feister and Mary Frances Reese Colby

My children and I knew Mrs. Trees as a teacher at Highland Presbyterian Church’s Preschool. She was such a kind and caring person–the quintessential grandmother to all the little children. It is now almost 30 years later and we still think of her in that role. God bless her; may she be at rest. Kathleen Shuman
