Terry L. Hildebrand, 74
December 23, 2024
Terry L. Hildebrand, 74, of Ephrata, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 23, 2024, with his loving family by his side, after a brief illness. He was born in Lancaster to the late Preston and Josephine (Stauffer) Hildebrand. Terry was the devoted husband of Patricia (Johnson) Hildebrand with whom he shared 51 years of marriage.
Terry was a 1968 graduate of Manheim Township High School and earned his Eagle Scout during this time. He then went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in health & physical education from Lock Haven University. After college he was employed by the Ephrata Recreation Center for 35 years. Following that he worked at Manheim Township Parks and Recreation. In his retirement he enjoyed working as an usher at the Lancaster Barnstormers and a van driver at EARS, Inc.
Anyone who knew Terry knew about his extreme passion for sports. If he wasn’t playing or coaching you could find him on the sidelines cheering on his favorite sports team. He always looked forward to his yearly march madness trips.
Terry was a devoted husband, loving father and proud grandfather who loved his family dearly. In addition to his wife, Patricia, he is survived by his daughter, Jill M., wife of Matthew T. Williams and son Christopher R. Hildebrand. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Hannah and Lexi Williams and Owen Hildebrand.
Friends and family are respectfully invited to gather for a celebration of life service at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz pa 17543, on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM. There will be a viewing and time of visitation from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Our deepest condolences to you Pat and your family. Allan had many memories from Duke St, Rec center and summer playground program. Thought highly of Terry.
It was my error in dates that we missed the Service. Please except my apologies.
Steve Sweigart said Terry had on his Johnny Unitas shirt. Made Allan smile. He said Terry was a BIG Colts fan. Thinking of you all, Allan and Lisa Buffenmyer
