Theresa J. (Pickel) Helm, 65, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024. Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of Nancy Jane (Spangler) and the late Robert Richard Pickel. Theresa was the beloved wife of Scott A. Helm, with whom she celebrated 34 years of marriage.
She graduated from Conestoga Valley High School and pursued a career as a salesperson in radio advertising. Theresa had a passion for visiting Ocean City, Maryland, and cherished spending holidays with her family.
She was a devoted member of the Worship Center and is survived by her husband, Scott A. Helm; her son, Trent Helm of Lancaster; her brother, John Pickel, husband of Jeralyn, of Lititz and her sister Susan Miller of Willow Street; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Kristi.
Theresa was preceded in death by her father and her uncle, Will Spangler.
Services will be private.

I am so sorry for posting a late condolences on here of the loss of Theresa. I’m still in awe in facing the fact she is no longer with us. I knew that day would come but we all didn’t know when it would happen. I have some down time today December 7, 2024 to post on here while I’m in the process of filling out about 30 Christmas cards to people. She became a very dear close friend of mine in over 2.5 years that I knew her and the two of you as she became one of my very first Avon customers in 2022. She was even there when I was in the process of losing my oldest niece Amber Cofield in November 2022 from AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) at 38.4 years of age. She was even supportive in my personal life’s struggles and trials during the time I knew her. She will never be forgotten in my life time. I will and do treasure the time I got to know her as a friend and a mother type of nature to me since I lost my mother 06.29.2016. Now she is up with my mother. May they both rest in peace. Don’t be afraid to keep in touch. I’m here for you and Trent. ###MSStrong. Fight MS!!!
