Thomas John Cummings, 76

Thomas John Cummings, 76, passed away at his Manheim Twp. home on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. He was born in Lancaster to the late Joseph Cummings, Sr. and Edith Miller. Tom and his wife Brenda M. Laser Cummings celebrated 35 years of marriage on August 28th.
A veteran of the US Navy, Tom served as a seaman on the USS Monrovia from 1958-1962. He worked for Nolt Construction for over 20 years and then as a press operator for RR Donnelley for 10 years.
Known as a jokester and kidder, Tom always covered up his ailments. He loved spending time with his family and his dogs. He enjoyed eating, cheering for the Eagles and Penn State, boating and fishing on the Conestoga River, gardening and feeding and talking to animals.
In addition to his loving wife Brenda, Tom is survived by 3 children: Shelly Rumberger of New York, Tabitha, wife of Bart Dietrich of Ephrata and Robert Cummings, husband of Karen of Columbia; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; 4 siblings: Jimmy Cummings, Joey Cummings, Jr., Betty Clark and Doris Caldwell; and his golden retriever Maggie.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors will take place 10:30 AM Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have such wonderful memories from my childhood of Uncle Tom. He always smiled and talked to us kids telling us funny stories. Rest in Peace Uncle Tom!
