Thomas W. Daily III, 71
July 25, 2022
Thomas W. Daily, III, 71, of Willow Street, passed away July 25, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lancaster he was the son of the late Geraldine (Klebsch) and Thomas W. Daily, Jr. On March 20, 1971, he married his best friend and soulmate, P. Eileen McCauley. Over the years he and Eileen would share countless hours traversing the walking trails together.
Many will remember Tom for his dedicated years as a real estate appraiser and broker. He retired in 2013 after more than 30 years in the business.
While being outdoors made Tom happy, he found the most joy in sharing his hobbies with his family. He was an avid fly fisherman, that handmade his own flies with his wife. He enjoyed hunting pheasant and geese with son, and built a cabin with his father. He pushed himself to excel in everything he did and his family and friends will remember him for sharing his expertise and knowledge with those he loved. He was an amazing mechanic of go carts and enjoyed go cart racing. His family remember him as the best left-handed golfer they have ever seen. Most importantly, Tom did everything he could to stay involved and active with those he loved.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Eileen Daily of Willow Street; children, Thomas Daily, IV and Kristy Rhodes, both of Willow Street; grandchildren, Thomas W. Daily V, Lexi M. Daily, Lincoln C. Daily, and Sophia Rhodes; a sister, Gerry Wolf, wife of Fred of Lancaster; sister-in-law, Verna McCauley of Lancaster; niece and nephews, Robert Barnett of Denver, Thomas Barnett of Lancaster, and Brigette Guyer of Carlisle, and his aunt, Jean Suter of Ephrata.
A graveside service will be held at 2:45 PM on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, behind the church at 1916 E. Lincoln Hwy, Lancaster, PA 17602.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Tom’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
