Timothy N. “Tim” Herr, 83

Timothy N. “Tim” Herr, 83, of Lititz, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Tobias and Johanna (Koubvich) Herr. He was married to Rita Ann (Smith) Herr prior to her passing in 2001. 

Tim was a graduate of Manheim Township High School. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Arts from Eastern Kentucky University. He also served in the U.S. Army and was a proud veteran.  Tim started and owned Herr Industries providing local employment for over 50 years.  He managed Sales and held the title of President.  Tim was a talented woodworker and took pride in designing and building furniture, playsets, and even his own home. Tim could make friends with anyone and enjoyed sharing a good story over dinner.  He was a true family man and cherished his moments with friends, family and grandchildren.  

Tim was a member of the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Hamilton Club.  

Tim is survived by his son Greg Herr (Mary), son-in-law Kyle Grube, 5 grandchildren: Murray, Hayden, Carolyn, Scarlett, and Margot; and 5 siblings: Dennis Herr, Jenny Green, Cecilia Herr, Chris Herr, and Tom Herr. He was predeceased by his daughter Ann Murray Grube and his wife Rita. 

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 11 AM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. The family will receive guests on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 6-8 PM, as well as Saturday, December 20, at 10 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Neffsville Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
