Trudy Carrole Carrigan, 74
June 01, 2024
Trudy Carrole Carrigan, 74, of Quarryville, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 1, 2024. She was born to the late Elvin and June Herr in Lancaster and was a graduate of Solanco High School, class of 1967. Trudy went on to dedicate over 30 years of her life as a machine operator with Exide Technology.
In 1968, Trudy married the love of her life, Allen. Together they shared many wonderful years, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Trudy had a passion for gardening and spent countless hours tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed snowmobiling, and she cherished the time spent at their cabin in the mountains with Allen.
Trudy was a regular at craft fairs and shows and loved to make her own crafts. She had a special love for her dog, Skeeter, her 10-year-old shih tzu. Additionally, Trudy had a unique fondness for collecting pig décor and items, which added a fun touch to her home.
Trudy is survived by her husband, Allen Carrigan, her brother Barry Herr and his wife Lisa, and Kim Tillman and her husband Bill. Kim was much like a daughter to Trudy and Allen. She also leaves behind many nieces, a nephew, and friends who will remember her kindness, warmth, and spirit.
In accordance with Trudy’s wishes, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hospice and Community Care, at www.hospiceandcommunitycare.org

Dear Allen & Family,
So sorry to read of Trudy’s passing. She was such a kind, caring person. I will always remember how she made me feel welcome when I entered the HS. She said we were privileged being the only two Trudys in the whole school. Our names would not be hard to remember. It was that way until my last year when another Trudy entered the 9th grade. We saw Trudy at many of the craft shows and would converse. Your happy memories and the Lord’s grace will get you to brighter days ahead. Keep the Faith! God bless, keeping you and family in prayer.

Dear Allen, I have so many great memories with Trudy in school. We did meet one time many years ago. Wished we kept in touch but my life got in my way. Was good to see her last year at Lapp’s Restaurant when she was there with her family and I was there with classmates. Prayers to you and extended family. Sincerely, Susan Shaub Waters.
