Tyler L. Henson, Sr., 48

Tyler “Terry” L. Henson, Sr., 48, of 51 Stratford Village, Lancaster, died suddenly Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Lancaster General Hospital.

He was employed by Kegel’s Produce in Lancaster, and formerly at Chico’s in East Lampeter Twp. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, loved to play pool, and listen to old soul music.

He was the common law husband of Ruth E. Galarza for 32 years. Born in Lancaster, Terry was the son of Gordon W. Henson of New Providence and Barbara J. Myers Rodriquez of Lancaster.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by 2 sons: Tyler L Henson II  common law husband of Maryceliz Ruiz of Lancaster, and Anthony W., married to Sonia Henson of Lancaster; 5 grandchildren: AJ, Tylia, Ty-Ty, Dohnovan and baby Anthony; 7 siblings: Beverly A Watt of Harrisburg, Yvonne E. wife of Douglas Grimes of Lancaster, Theresa wife of Victor Mendez of Virginia, Marilyn “Daisy”  wife of Roger Culbreath of Lancaster, Marvin Henson of Harrisburg, Larry L.  husband of Nancy Henson of Lancaster, and George M. Henson   common law husband of Mary Kay Hughes of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by a step-father, Luciano R. Rodriquez , a brother Gordon W. Henson, Jr.,  a sister Brenda L. Brown and by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Friends will be received on Saturday at the Charles Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA from 10-11AM, with the funeral service to follow at 11AM. Interment in Mellingers Mennonite Cemetery.
