Condolences to the Family

October 29, 2024

My sincere condolences to Vin’s family. We were neighbors of Vin and Joann in Lancaster. They were warm and welcoming neighbors and hosts for the occasional gathering of from the nearby homes. It was also fun to learn that we shared an alma mater when I saw that he also attended Boston College (he advised me to attend the 50th class reunion, if possible!). We will remember Vin warmly and were thankful to have known him.

I am blessed to have met Vin at our church Grief Share group.
Vin was strongly spiritual, intelligent and such a warm and genuine person. I will miss him dearly.
Vin spoke of the strong love he and his wife Joann shared, I can only imagine his happiness of being reunited with her in the presence of God.
Heartfelt prayers to Vincent’s family, may God bless and protect him on his journey home. ✝️

I was in a Grief Share group with Vin. He was a joy to be with in the group. He always had questions about our discussions and frequently added humor to our talks. I am so glad I got to know him. I wish all your family peace.

Yes, I’d like to extend sincere sympathy to all of the Kneizys family.  I met your dad in 1978 when he became my boss in Industrial Engineering at the Scranton plant of RCA.  At that time computers were not available yet and for a lot of the numbers required for meetings, etc. I had to take a 15 column sheet of paper and put it in the typewriter one way and then turn it around and put in the side info.  Vin was funny watching the whole thing.  At that time he found out that my Dad had a 2-story shoppe (metal on ground floor and wood upstairs) and Vin became a frequent visitor to see Harry.  About a month ago my cousin Kelly and I were at Olive Garden at Park City and took our dessert (italian donuts with chocolate and raspberry dipping sauce) to Vin.  He was pleased to see us and I thought he was in pretty good shape – he had been reading the newspaper and had others to read.  Vin was only 3 months older than I so that’s how I remembered his age-Ha! Ha!At least that’s a pleasant way to remember him.  I haven’t driven for 7 years so have no way to get there now but will certainly be in touch with all of you via mail.  Blessings with deepest sympathy and love – Charlotte Hood.   Phone number 717-272-0676— mail: Cornwall Manor Westwood #1F, PO Box 125, Cornwall, PA 17016-0125     Thanks for thinking of me…  I’ll be with you in prayer — possibly service will be “online”?

“Vin” and I were members of the same Grief Share program at our Church and I was honored to drive “Vin”  to the program each week. What I have now to share with you is “Vin’s” gift to us all. In driving this exceptional human being home with me he went to heaven in the most beautiful way that is hard to describe. He and I were going to discuss tha way to journal as our way to address grief. However, we never got to do that as Jesus had his plan for “Vin” to meet  and bring him home with Him. It was the most peaceful and meaningful experience as he slowly bent over in the front seat, bowed his head as if in prayer and went to the Lord quietly, peacefully and with magnificent dignity. I was blessed to witness this God given transfer of His blessed servant and marvelous human being to meet his beloved spouse of 62 years once again. Until we meet again, my front seat companion, humbly and with praise, I thank you for blessing me with your going to heaven, Chuck

In remembrance of my mother, Genevieve Lyons Lawrence’s cousin Vinnie, I send my condolences to your family. Cousin Vinnie and my mom had a special bond. Mom was always beaming when she was able to spend time with Vinnie. I was blessed to know Vinnie. May God be with your whole family.

I would never have learned the words to “Climb Every Mountain” if it weren’t for Uncle Vin and his desire to serenade my Mom and Don at their wedding! He had a way of making things happen. I’m sorry for your loss.
