W. Kenneth Greenwood, 91
December 17, 2022
W. Kenneth (Ken) Greenwood, 91, of Willow Street, passed away at Lakeside at Willow Valley on Saturday, December 17, 2022. Born in Philadelphia, he was the only son of the late Wilmer and Wilhelmina Hazel (Tomlin) Greenwood. He was the loving husband of Florence “Floppi” (Haines) Greenwood. Together they shared 67 years of marriage.
Ken owned and operated Ken Greenwood Furniture in Southampton, PA for 30 years. He served on the Board of Directors for Bethanna Home for Boys and Girls. Grace Community Church of Willow Street, Bethel Chapel in Huntington Valley, and Ocean City Baptist Church in Ocean City, NJ could find Ken in attendance on a regular basis.
In his spare time Ken loved boating, making glass ornaments, planes, and taking Sunday drives with his family. Much of his early life was spent in Ocean City, NJ; helping construct the family bungalow while developing a love of water sports – particularly boats. Upon retirement he enjoyed his “snowbird” time in Boca Raton, FL watching the boats, ships and barges cruise the Inter-Coastal Waterway. He looked forward to the Christmas season; decorating the house, tree, and building his train displays while trying not to break the glass ornaments. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be very much missed.
In addition to his wife, Kenneth is survived by his daughters Sandra Greenwood, Susan Stinson (husband, Mikey), Linda Huber (husband, Bob), and Charlene Shelinsky (husband, Steve, deceased); his grandchildren Lesley Taylor (husband, Steve), Kelly Rossi (husband, Frank), Robbie Huber (wife, Alex), and Jon Huber; and his great granddaughter Paige.
Burial is private and at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Kenneth’s Life will take place on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Grace Community Church of Willow Street. Service will be at 11:00 AM, with luncheon following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christ’s Home at www.christshome.org or 3182 E Lincoln Highway, Paradise, PA 17562; or to Grace Community Church of Willow Street at www.gccws.net or 212 Peach Bottom Road, Willow Street, PA 17584.

Dearest Greenwoods,
We feel privileged to have had Ken in our lives along with his lovely family. His quiet reserved manner hid his humor and gentle manner. We loved the time he and Floppi spent time in our new home helping with painting as we were finishing building our ‘final’ home on the site of the first home we left 32 years previously. Ken was gracious, giving and family-focused gentleman. His spirit will live on in our memories. Bob & Jean Keene
