I had the absolute pleasure in developing a business (and personal) relationship with Bill while he was the GM @ PCA-Lancaster. Bill was most personable in his business dealings, and conducted himself with the highest level of intregity and sincerity…!!! After retirement, we continued to correspond regularly via email as well as periodic phone conversations…it was certainly my pleasure to have known Bill and was so very saddened to just learn about his passing.
My deepest sympathy goes out to his wife Chris, as well as his extended family. May God provide each of you his comfort in this difficult time.

Bill was a great leader, a friend to many and a mentor to me. He listened and he cared. Bill would come into my office area and sit to talk about anything. Other times he’d flag me down as I passed his office area to say, ‘come on in, shut the door – let’s chat’. He made me feel important and valued. It didn’t have to be work related chat, rather he just wanted to connect to the person. Bill always mentioned his family updating me on son Sean and daughter both of which meant a lot to him.
As a manager in the workplace Bill was the finest I’ve known in my career (and I’m retired now). Bill never micro-managed, rather he gave you the tools, inspiration, and support to succeed and he would try stay out of the way. He trusted others to do their part. It was a pleasure to work with him, and a pleasure to be with him.
I worked as IT contact for Bill’s location and Bill was very knowledgeable in all things technical. He was quite skilled and knowledgeable in many ways. One important thing to Bill was sending his ‘Thoughts of the Day’ email each morning. This email was very good reading and highly regarded by others – it was sent to many people across various states. Bill would sometimes call me while he was out of office or on vacation if he had problems sending this. It was important to him. Many people received his mailing and enjoyed it.
Bill will be missed though I feel anyone who knew him carries a part of him with them. He was a great man. Loved, respected, and valued friend. I personally grew and am forever thankful having had Bill in my life.

It is with a heavy heart that we learned of Bill’s passing.
Besides working with Bill for 15 years as his plant produstion manger, he was the best manager I worked for throughout my career! He won leadership awards from PCA and was highly respected within the company. Several times we were close to winning plant of the year in the company with his leadership and direction within the plant. That demonstrated his leadership and devotion to his work but also his compassion and ability to connect to the plant personnel. It was my honor and privilege to have worked for Bill!
Barbara and I will forever be blessed for Bill hiring me and getting us to Lancaster! This was the Lord’s will for getting us here to establish our ministry field in this area! What a blessing it has and continues to be!
Chris, Barbara and I want to extend our sincere condolence to you and your family at this time. May the Lord’s continuous presence comfort you. Blessings!
