William “Bill” E. Helmick, 74

William “Bill” E. Helmick, 74, of Lititz, died Monday, February 10, 2014 at Mount Joy Hospice Center.
Born in Parson, WV, he was the husband of Linda (Firestone) Helmick of Lititz, and the son of the late Alva Bud and Pauline (Phillips) Helmick.

Of the Christian faith, Bill loved his pets and fast cars. He was an excellent cook and passed that talent to his children. Bill enjoyed fishing and spending time in the garden, liked summers at the beach with his family, and cherished the time with his grandchildren watching cartoons.

In addition to his wife of 43 years, he is survived by two daughters: Diana Black of Lancaster and Sherry Davis and her husband Robert of Leola; two sons: Tony Helmick and his wife Justine of Lancaster and Gregory Helmick and his companion Robin Crouse of Ephrata; 11 grandchildren: Abbey, Erica, Nikki, Scott, Emily, Shelby, Kelly, Justus, Lexus, Bailey, and Jasmine; a number of loving great-grandchildren; and four brothers and two sisters. He was preceded in death by two sons and a daughter.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, February 17, 2014 at Charles F. Snyder, Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz with Deacon Jack Laukhuff officiating. Friends will be received from 9 to 10:30 prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.
