William G. “Bill” Kozak, 93

William G. “Bill” Kozak, 93, formerly of Philadelphia, died at The Glen at Willow Valley, Lancaster, PA, on Tuesday, February 22, 2011. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Michael and Rose Verchinsky Kozak.

Bill was preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy Tustin Kozak in 1972 and then his second wife Joyce Stauffer Kozak in 2008. He was a driver and salesman for Sealtest National Dairy for 32 years and then worked for Central Penn national Bank for 8 years, retiring in 1982.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lancaster and former member of St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church, Philadelphia. Bill was a Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree, and he enjoyed bowling and world travel.

Surviving Bill are his four children, William J. Kozak, Yardley, Pa. Diane Marie Sweeney, Levittown, PA, Joseph Thomas Kozak, Alpharetta, GA and Michael G. Kozak, Marlton, NJ; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. His son Thomas M. Kozak preceded Bill in death.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, February 27, 2011 at 2:30 PM, with a greeting time from 2 to 2:30 PM, in the Thomas Auditorium of Willow Valley Lakes, 300 Willow Valley Lakes Dr., Willow Street, PA. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, February 28, 2011 at 11:15 AM at St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church, 3000 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA. A Viewing will take place Monday in the upper church from 10 to 11 AM. Final Farewell and Commendation in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Bill’s memory to The Kozak Ohana School, checks payable to “Kathleen Kozak”, C/O of 89 Hollow Rd., Levittown, PA 19056. I am so very sorry to hear about Mr Kozak’s passing. He was a wonderful kind man. He was always so pleasant to speak with. I knew Mr.Kozak and his wife Joyce, while working at the Lakes Manor. May God be with you and may you remember & appreciate the times that you spent together. God Bless!
