More colleague than friend, Zem and I crossed paths irregularly in and around Lancaster County in the 70s and 80s. I recall that it was always a fine day when I came upon her. We’d been out of touch since the late 80s when I changed careers. Im saddened yo learn of her passing. God be with you, Zem.

As a kid, I was in awe of our older cousins from Winchester. Zemma Lee epitomized a larger than life model: big smile, flaming red hair, and smart looking. I can see how she loved horse riding and Nantuckett. They suited her style. I was lucky to have been chosen her ring bearer at one time. I was honored and thrilled to be among her shining royalty, as I had imagined. It is with saddened heart that we learned of her passing. She will always be in my memory as a beautiful person… Much sympathy and condolences to her family.

Good memories of Zemma, Jim, and her circle of friends that gathered at Forney Polo Field in the 90’s. She served several terms as LPC President and made folks feel welcome at the field and her residences, where she hosted many club meetings. She also worked to promote equestrian events. Cheers.
